What’s for supper

Red meat is like hitting the jackpot and that’s what I had for supper. Yummy. BIL Bear (Brother-in-law Pat) grilled some huge steaks for supper and Sister Bear grilled onions and pan grilled potato slices. Add fresh sliced tomatoes and that’s one fabulous dinner.

I had a very nice nero day today. They dropped me back off where they picked me up yesterday and I hiked back to the camp ground, only about 10 miles. I soon caught up to a couple hiker friends, Appagy and Plyo.

He completed the ice cream challenge with me. We hiked on together and planned to stop at the campground with me for their break and lunch. But we could not find the side trail. Finally we just stopped and ate a snack. I checked my GPS, paper map and made a phone call to the campground. Oops. We missed it. They continued on to their destination. I had to back track a mile. Glad it was a short day. And it started to pour as I entered the RV. That was close.

I have enjoyed a nero day of relaxing, napping and eating. A hikers paradise. Thanks Sister Bear and BIL Bear. You have made one very happy Black Bear.

Tomorrow I will only hike 8.5 miles into Boiling Springs, PA and my wonderful personal trail Angels will pick me up again and I will begin a two day stretch of zeros. WHOO HOO!

Happy Hiking
