Rock on

Rain, rain and more rain for my nero day today and it was awesome. Only had 7.3 miles to cover before I could relax. The only thing between me and two nero days were a few rock mazes

and a few minor inclines followed by a soaking wet field. My feet were dry while the rest of me was wet until I waded through thigh high field grass. But that didn’t dampen my spirits because I knew in less then a mile and a half I would be extracted by my personal trail angels again and wisked off to a nice dry place for the night.

One last stroll past a historical iron works oven and a peaceful pond

       then rest and relaxation time.

Well, almost, had to go to the grocery store and resupply for when I hit the trail again.

This should keep me going for 6 or 7 days on the trail. Nothing fancy just high calorie nutrient dense and light weight. Just hope it fits in my pack.

I pulled a typical “Black Bear” stint. Since I was slack packing I emptied my pack of everything nonessential for the day’s hike. One of those items was my wallet. Not only did my trail angels, BIL Bear and Sister Bear drop me off at the trailhead, rescueded me from the rain afterwards, they had to spot me for my groceries and lunch. Thanks guys.

This afternoon and evening we have been vegging in the RV watching movies and eating snacks.

Happy Hiking
