Today’s hike was long and uneventful. I didn’t even see my daily deer sighting. Water was hard to come by as well.
This stream was flowing good but had just a tad to high an iron content for me liking. It looked liked someone spilled orange paint.
A little bit of history in the woods. This was the site of an old coal mining village.
Plus severe weather was forecasted for the afternoon. I pushed on hard with little rest to get to the next shelter. With about 20 minutes my estimate to go the rough trail changed to this sweat home stretch.
Just in time as thunder rolls in the distance. A huge storm began 15 minutes after my arrival.
This guy thought he was going to sleep above my space. Not a chance.
