Girls day out on the trail

Right off the start I met 4 other ladies hiking. First I came up to Squirrel and Spock, who are trying to break the mother-daughter thru hike record that stands at 126 days. They are trying to do it in 99. I won’t see them again after today. No record setting here fore unless it is the most number of nights spent at a hotel while hiking the A.T.

Then I met another solo gal, Moment eating breakfast at her tent site. She decided to hike on a moments notice. Shortly after that I hiked upon Haha. She was also eating her breakfast at her site. She is a comedian when she isn’t hiking.

Add Mama Bear that I saw yesterday and myself and it seems to be girls day out on the trail. How awesome.

I am sporting my new outfit today

Remember, it’s not about the hike, it’s how you look while you hike.

Squirrel and Spook caught up to me and we hiked the rest of my day together. They are continuing on a few more miles. I am getting picked up at Zoe’s Ice Cream Parlor. A great place to end a day of hiking.

This place was built in 1906 and originally an Inn. It is huge and has been converted into a small mall of specialty shops. The character in this building is awesome. Old and rustic and very historical.

As I sit here waiting for Hubby Bear another lady stopped in who is hiking, Neon. She is from Massachusetts. This is truly a ladies day. I didn’t see any guys on the trail today.

Tomorrow I enter New Jersey. 7 states down and 7 to go. WHOO HOO.

Happy Hiking
