This was a wonderful place to enjoy our zero day. I fell asleep so fast last night even with three other people in the room. Hubby Bear and I volunteered to sleep on the pullout couch so give our hiker friends the cozy beds. We placed the mattress on the floor, topped it with a cozy comforter for extra fluffness and z’s game easily.
I did nothing except relax, soaked my feet and even got a nap in. The guys had to make a run to Walmart for resupply. With a late checkout, we are now headed back to the trailhead to camp at the Graymoor Pavillion. I am planning a 15 mile day tomorrow to get back on track. I am well rested and ready to make some miles. Good weather is forecasted for the week so I am hoping to make good time since I am refreshed again. As I rack up the miles I seem to get tired sooner so these breaks are a welcome relief.
Kilroy is planning a 20 mile day. He wants to summit by mid August so he can finish his flip-flop in time to go to St. Martin’s in the Carribean for a rest after his hike. It has been fun hiking with him but like everyone I meet, they hike on and I fall behind. But that’s okay I get to meet lots of new people this way.
The sun is coming out and it looks like we have a nice evening approaching. Maybe we can actually play some cards or dice with everyone since we are all rested.
