Hope my new Injinji’s are worth the trip into Hartford

Drove into Hartford this afternoon to an REI store. Since I couldn’t hike we decided to check on some hiking gear. My sleeping pad loses air, I need new gaitors and I also want to try toe sock liners.

I bought my pad from REI and since they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee I wanted to swap it out. But l lucked out. They didn’t have mine in stock and I didn’t want the next size up. Size and weight doesmatter.

Next, a search for gators. Mine are ripping and are also too big. Strike 2. They don’t carry the kind of gators I like.

Last search, toe socks. There were many to choose from but not the exact ones I saw online so I settled for a different style. I hope my new Injinji toe socks are worth the trip into Hartford. I have to tape my toes every morning to prevent blisters. These new socks should do the trick. At least that’s what they claim. If not I can return them. Good guarantee, almost as good as LLBean’s. REI’s is good for 1 year after purchase date.

We are almost back to the hotel. Snacks in the club lounge, hot tub, and pool are all on the agenda before bed time. I love this kind of AT hiking. I am one lucky gal.

Happy Hiking
