Good-bye New York hello Connecticut

I left New York today and entered Connecticut.  One more state down. I am officially in New England. It’s good to be “home”

New York ushered me out with a fabulous 16.7 mile stroll. I saw a little bit of everything today except hard terrain and rocks.

The worst was a few minor muddy sections like this one

And a very over-grown section of trail.

This tree is the largest tree on the trail. It is well over 300 years old.

It has grown with in a spiral. Apparently this is caused because of a vortex. I must research this and find out more. Sounds very interesting and SiFi like.

I am so glad to be in New England.

Happy Hiking
