Hello New Hampshire

A beautiful day to cross a border.

Getting closer every day. We woke up to drizzle but no worries, we were in the dry comfort of our trail angel’s home and by the time we packed up it had stopped. After a brief 1.5 mile hike to Dsrtmouth College we stopped at Lou’s Dinner.

They give thru hikers a free donut.

I got mine To go since I can’t eat it. I will share it with someone I see that wasn’t so lucky to get one.

A beautiful hike this day. New Hampshire has welcomed us in with mild terrain and a soft path. Seneca and Next Year each did take a tumble earlier but no harm done to either.

We are having a nice long lunch break in a maple tree stand complete with plumbing for sap season. We have seen lots of such webbing in Northern Vermont and already in these few miles of NH.

Just some of the pretty things I have seen so far.

Only 0.8 miles to the shelter. We are sitting on top of Moose Mt. At 222.2ft elevation making calls and doing blog posts before we dip down for the night. It has been a fabulous day, hot and sunny. Just the way I like it. We are getting in a little later then we all like but we will have completed 13.7 miles will a late start and a stop in town for breakfast. A nice slow place also which means my feet are still happy.

I will be entering spotty cell service again as we enter the mountains of NH. I will do my best to post daily.
Happy Hiking
